《幻化》系列通过对传统唐卡元素的利用,想要探索艺术能以能量激发观者进入一种超验的境界——他们在凝视绘画平面或形式时,精神能进入一种均衡状态和接近于冥想的全神贯注。

宇宙的意识跟人的灵魂存在某种关联,它通过声、光、色把内在能量的聚集点激发出来。我作《幻化》之前,会事先通过电脑将唐卡所显示的“幻化”色彩不断调整,然后通过“身体测量”去检测结果,这其实运用了人的“感知”去测量和感受,去测量它是否使人达到了一种符合宇宙规律的内在协调。

我在使用这些“古老波普”进行新的艺术创造时,试图把观者在看到唐卡时所产生的能量交互过程进行呈现。这是产生于观者内部的一个隐秘过程,它不是平面的, 而是一种立体的思维运动模式,亦或是一种正在幻化或变化的过程。

呼应郑国谷对“能量学”的研究,始于2011年“幻化”系列通过对传统唐卡元素的转换,探索艺术如何能以能量激发观者进入一种忘我境地,使人们体内受社会磁场干扰产生并长久积存的杂质得以消除,从而回归到内在的本真。 

对于郑国谷来说,宇宙的意识跟人的灵魂存在某种关联,它通过声、光、色把内在能量的聚集点激发出来。有别于传统的唐卡,郑国谷在作“幻化”绘画之前,往往会事先通过电脑将唐卡所显示的色彩不断调整,结合电脑屏幕的光感,然后通过“身体测量”去测量最终的呈现是否能达成一种符合宇宙规律的内在协调。

The Visionary Transformation series uses traditional thangka elements to explore how art can inspire the viewers into transcendental experiences —— when the viewers gaze at the surface of the paintings or their forms, the mind can enter a balanced state and a focus close to the state of meditation. 

Certain correlation exists between the consciousness of the universe and the human soul, inner energy concentration spots can be activated through sounds, light and colors. Before making the Visionary Transformation, I would use the computer to adjust the colors of the “visionary transformation” of thangka, then use the “body measuring” to test the results, which involves human perception to test and feel, to test if it achieves an inner harmony in compliance with the cosmic law. 

When I use these “ancient Pop” to create new art, I try to present the interactions of energy generated at the moment when the viewer looks at the thangka. This is a hidden process produced inside the viewers, it’s not flat, but a stereoscopic moving mode of thoughts, or a transforming process.

As a response to Zheng Guogu’s study on energetics, the Visionary Transformation series of paintings started in 2011, transforms traditional thangka elements to explore how art can trigger the viewers into a state of selflessness using energy, eliminating the impurities long-accumulated in the human bodies engendered by social magnetic interferences, so that they can reunite with their true selves. 

For Zheng Guogu, the consciousness of the universe has certain connections with the human soul. It can release the energy congealed within the concentrated spots through sound, light and colors. Different from traditional Tibetan thangka, Zheng Guogu often uses computers to fine-tune the colors of the “visionary transformations” of the thangkas before creating the painting of Visionary Transformations, and subsequently to determine whether or not it enables the observer an inner harmony in compliance with cosmic laws using “body measures.” 

The Visionary Transformation series attempts to present the process of energy exchanges that happen when the viewers see the Thangkas — this is a personal process occurring in the viewers’ inner space. It’s a three-dimensional mode of the movements of thoughts, as well as a process of transformation.
